BATTLE GROUND — Starting this afternoon, reopening of North Parkway Avenue following a six-month reconstruction will bring revisions in traffic patterns for motorists and students at three schools.

At Captain Strong Primary School, parents will once again pick up children at the Capt. Strong parking lot, rather than at Chief Umtuch Middle School, as they have done since autumn. Waiting drivers are asked to pull forward in line, as space allows.

Capt. Strong daycare vans will continue using the Chief Umtuch parking lot. There is no change in pickup or drop-off for Capt. Strong school bus riders, however.

Pickup and drop-off for Chief Umtuch bus riders returns to that school’s parking lot, after being diverted to the old Lewisville School during construction.

Finally, Battle Ground High School bus riders who had hiked to the old Lewisville School will again board buses at the normal loading zone on Stadium Road.
