TILLAMOOK, Ore. (AP) — The U.S. Coast Guard says crews from its Tillamook station have rescued an injured man from a sailboat about four miles off Cape Lookout.

The service says two motor life boat crews and a helicopter from Astoria were dispatched Monday after the report that the man had fallen and was having trouble breathing. One life boat took the man to shore, where it was determined that he had two broken ribs and a punctured lung. The sailboat was towed to Tillamook Bay.
