SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A Spokane sheriff’s deputy arrested in an off-duty drunken driving stop has been reassigned during a review of the case.
The Spokesman-Review reports a Spokane Valley officer stopped Darin Schaum early Friday after he appeared to be racing or confronting another driver. He was arrested by a state trooper.
Schaum refused sobriety tests. No citation was issued. The case has been referred to the prosecutor’s office.
