COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. (AP) — A former Cottage Grove police officer who pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography has been sentenced to five years in federal prison.
Kim “Scott” Graham told U.S. District Judge Ann Aiken he is “disgusted and ashamed” at his behavior. He also apologized Tuesday to his family, the community and the police department.
Prosecutors say the 43-year-old Graham possessed more than 1,100 sexually explicit images of children.
Defense attorney Craig Weinerman says Graham sought treatment from a Eugene therapist, but ceased when he thought the compulsion to view such images was behind him. But he relapsed.
