Project sponsors meet Friday regarding CRC

A bistate advisory committee on the proposed Columbia River Crossing will convene Friday in Vancouver to talk about designing the new Interstate 5 bridge.

The public work session will run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the regional office of the Washington Department of Transportation, 11018 N.E. 51st Circle. Employees of local government agencies have been tapped to address design and engineering questions raised by members of the Project Sponsors Council.

Topics on Friday’s agenda include updates on the design of interchanges on Hayden Island and in downtown Vancouver, traffic modeling, performance measures and ways to manage traffic.
