HERNING, Denmark (AP) — Britain’s undefeated super middleweight WBC champion Carl Froch is defending his belt against Mikkel Kessler on Saturday in a contest which the Dane is describing as the fight of his life.

Froch is brimming with confidence that he can defeat his more experienced opponent, who will be backed by a partisan crowd in the city of Herning in western Denmark.

“Mikkel Kessler doesn’t have what it takes to knock me out. No one has,” Froch said. “This chin is going nowhere, this chin is made of granite.”

However, the 30-year-old Kessler was equally upbeat about the fight, which is part of the Super Six tournament. The event is designed to guarantee six of the best 168-pounders in the world three fights each, with points awarded based upon the outcome.
