LONGMIRE, Wash. (AP) — Mount Rainier National Park rangers have reached two climbers who called for help after falling near Camp Muir, which is about the 10,000-foot level on the mountain.

Ranger Patti Wold says rescuers are helping a man walk to Camp Muir and planning to return for a woman. The two are in their 20s and from Quebec.

The woman called 911 late Monday afternoon and said they had fallen about 150 feet and that the man was unconscious. Searchers were unable to reach them Monday night.

After the woman called again Tuesday morning, three rangers located them and found the man able to walk.

Wold says both likely have hypothermia and will be brought down from the mountain after warming at Camp Muir.
