ARLINGTON, Wash. (AP) — Police in Arlington, Wash., report finding dozens of cars and school buses vandalized in two apparently separate sprees.

Officers reponding to calls of suspicious activity in two neighborhoods early Monday morning found about 25 parked cars with slashed tires. Acting on a tip, they have questioned two teens in that case.

City spokeswoman Kristin Banfield says Arlington School District employees found at least 35 school buses at the district bus barn had been vandalized over the weekend. Damage from broken and smashed windshields and slashed seats is expected to top $50,000.

Detectives are investigating the cases as separate incidents.
