PITTSBURGH (AP) — Center fielder Andrew McCutchen is back in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ lineup, a day after being struck in the neck by a 90-mph fastball thrown by the Reds’ Mike Leake.

McCutchen has a bruised neck, but X-rays were negative. He did not sustain a concussion while being hit by Leake’s pitch during the second inning of the Pirates’ 7-6 victory over Cincinnati on Tuesday night.

McCutchen managed to duck and partially turn his head before he was hit, and was able to walk off the field although he was wobbly.
