Rotary Club organizing talent contest

Rotary Club of Vancouver Sunrise is putting on the Southwest Washington’s Got Talent competition as a fundraiser for its various community projects, including the Clark County Sheriff’s Santa’s Posse, -Vancouver Police Activities League and Orchards Park Rose –

Garden.

Club members will be at the Vancouver Farmers Market at West Sixth and Esther streets from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday to record people performing their talents.

Those videos will be uploaded to http://www.southwestwashingtonsgottalent.com. Entries are $25 each.

People also can go online to register and submit videos on their own. Submissions are due by midnight on Aug. 15, and the same $25 fee per entry applies.

People can view the submissions online and vote for their favorite. Voting costs $1.

The top 10 finalists will be invited to perform before a live audience on Sept. 12 at the Vancouver Sausage Fest. The winner will receive $1,500. The second-place finisher will receive $1,000, and the third-place finisher will receive $500.
