Two unrelated crashes injure motorcyclists

Emergency personnel rushed to two unrelated collisions involving motorcyclists and other vehicles Thursday, one about 4:55 p.m. west of Battle Ground, near Dollars Corner, and the other about 7:15 p.m. in Hockinson.

The first accident was at the the intersection of Northeast 219th Street and 50th Avenue.

The intersection was blocked, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Initial reports indicated a car and a motorcycle collided. The motorcyclist was down and not moving when emergency responders arrived.

Clark County Sheriff’s deputies and Clark County Fire & Rescue were on the scene.

The second collision occurred at the intersection of Northeast 174th Street and Baker Creek Road in Hockinson.

The rider was rushed to a hospital by paramedics with AMR Northwest ambulance service.

The rider’s names and further details were not immediately available Thursday night from the sheriff’s office and Washington State Patrol
