SALEM, Ore. (AP) — A 34-year-old Jefferson man who pleaded guilty to child sex abuse charges was sentenced to 43 years in prison.
After the sentencing Thursday in Marion County Circuit Court, Sam Petterson apologized to his wife, other family members and friends “for bringing disgrace” on them.
He pleaded guilty to victimizing a 7-year-old girl in 2009. He was arrested in March.
The Statesman Journal reports authorities found child pornography on his computer and cell phone.
