DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Wickedly Perfect took the lead in the upper stretch and went on to a one-length victory over A Z Warrior in the $150,000 Sorrento Stakes for 2-year-old fillies at Del Mar on Friday.
Rafael Bejarano rode his fourth winner on the card in the feature. Wickedly Perfect ran 612 furlongs in 1:17.18 and paid $13.80, $4.80 and $3.20.
A Z Warrior returned $5.40 and $3.80, while Izshelegal was another head back in third and paid $3 to show. Final Mesa, the 9-5 favorite who was undefeated, faded to sixth.
The victory was worth $90,000 for Wickedly Perfect, who is 2-0.
