ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (AP) — The banged-up Denver Broncos had some players return to the field for a change instead of simply hobbling off.

These days, that’s been a rare sight.

A rash of injuries has ravaged the Broncos in training camp, most prominently Pro Bowler Elvis Dumervil’s torn chest muscle that required surgery Tuesday and could sideline him for the season.

Linebacker D.J. Williams was back at practice after missing the majority of camp for an undisclosed reason. He was wearing an orange no-contact jersey. Fullback Spencer Larsen also took the field, along with defensive lineman Chris Baker.

However, rookie receivers Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker didn’t participate. Both were dinged up during practice at Invesco Field on Saturday night.
