Woodland company among those receiving loan help

Three Washington businesses will receive U.S. Department of Agriculture loan guarantees totaling $13.6 million under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Lamiglas Inc., a fishing rod manufacturer based in Woodland, will receive a $2.2 million loan. Mt. Vernon-based Washington Alder was awarded $8.4 million. GR Silicate Nano-Fibers and Carbonates in Federal Way is pegged for a $3 million loan.

Nationwide, 128 projects from 35 states were chosen for loan guarantees totaling $413 million.
