Clark County Sheriff’s deputies late Tuesday night were at a standoff in the Battle Ground area, where someone with a gun allegedly threatened to commit suicide.

About 9 p.m., the man fired a shot into the roof of a building he was in, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

The standoff is in the area south of Southwest Eaton Boulevard, near state Highway 503 south of Battle Ground, possibly around Northeast 191st Street, according to preliminary reports.

After firing a shot into the roof, the man allegedly said something to the effect of “the next round will be for me.”
