PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills rookie wide receiver Marcus Easley is expected to undergo surgery on his injured left leg and will be out indefinitely, coach Chan Gailey said after practice Wednesday night.

The fourth-round draft pick out of Connecticut has not practiced since falling awkwardly on his knee during a training camp session on Aug. 2.

He was on the sideline Wednesday night as the team prepared for its first preseason game against the Washington Redskins on Friday.

Gailey, who would only describe it as a leg injury, did not say when Easley would have the surgery. Gailey also said it would not be known how long he would be out until after the surgery.
