Canada’s Findlay wins Kitzbuehel triathlon

KITZBUEHEL, Austria (AP) — Paula Findlay of Canada has won the Kitzbuehel triathlon, using a strong running leg to edge Lisa Norden of Sweden by 3 seconds.

Findlay finished 12th in the cycling portion, but took the lead after the first running lap to finish in 2 hours, 3 minutes, 3 seconds. She also won last month’s London triathlon.

Andrea Hewitt of New Zealand was third in 2:03:10.

Laura Bennett was the top American, finishing eighth in 2:04:51.

The world championship series wraps up next month in Budapest, Hungary.
