VOORHEES, N.J. (AP) — Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger says there is no timetable to start skating following minor surgery on his right knee earlier this month.

Pronger did not say on Tuesday if he would be ready during training camp or by the start of the season in October. Pronger says he’s in “no hurry” to return and wants to make sure the leg has regained its strength and has complete range of motion before hitting the ice.

He was injured in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against Boston. The Flyers lost to Chicago in the Stanley Cup finals.

Pronger averaged nearly 26 minutes on the ice during the regular season, fifth best in the league. He played a league-leading 29 minutes per game in the playoffs.
