SALEM, Ore. (AP) — More than 400 people lined up in the heat Monday in Salem to apply for temporary jobs at the Oregon State Fair.
WorkSource Oregon is screening applicants for more than 600 jobs with private companies that operate rides, games and food stands.
The Statesman Journal reports there also are 530 state jobs at the fair, mostly involving directing traffic or custodial work. More than 3,000 people have applied for those jobs at an office or online.
