NEW YORK (AP) — Stock futures are rising as investors anticipate fresh reports will signal the economy continues to grow, albeit slowly.

Economic reports in recent days have indicated the economy is growing at a tepid pace, but they have been enough to reassure investors that the economy isn’t falling back into recession.

Reports Thursday are expected to show weekly claims for unemployment benefits fell slightly, while manufacturing in the Mid-Atlantic region is expected to show modest growth.

Dow Jones industrial average futures are up 49, or 0.5 percent, at 10,401. Standard & Poor’s 500 index futures are up 6.00, or 0.6 percent, at 1,092.70, while Nasdaq 100 index futures are up 7.25, or 0.4 percent, at 1,844.00.
