Detectives are on the lookout for three suspects who forced their way into an apartment overnight Saturday and displayed a gun before fleeing with cash and other items.

A man watching TV inside an apartment in the 900 block of Southeast 136th Avenue answered a knock at the door at about 4:40 a.m. Saturday. Police allege three suspects, two men and a woman, seized on the opening and rushed inside.

At least one of them was armed with a gun that discharged. There were no injuries, however, said Kim Kapp, a Vancouver Police Department spokeswoman. The alleged robbers escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash and other items.

The victims, a man and a woman, told police they did not know the suspected robbers.

The suspects were described as a Hispanic male in his 20s, about 5-feet, 10-inches and 170 pounds; a black male with dreadlocks; and a Hispanic female, 5 feet tall and weighing 100 pounds.

The Hispanic male was also believed to have been wearing a bandana. “We don’t have any further suspect description,” Kapp said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Vancouver Police Department.
