TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — The U.S. Geological Survey says a “benchmark” glacier in Washington’s north Cascades continues to lose mass as a result of climate change.

A USGS report presents measurements in 2006 and 2007 plus computer models of the glacier called the South Cascade Glacier. It’s located near Sentinel Peak in the Glacier Peak Wilderness.
