SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Forecasters say a cold front blowing through the Northwest Thursday is bringing winds that increase the wildfire danger in Eastern Washington.
The National Weather Service has a red flag warning in effect through Thursday evening from the east side of the Cascades through northern Idaho and into western Montana.
Forecasters expect winds of 15-to-25 mph with gust to 40. Grass, brush and trees are dry from the hot spell and could easily burn.
Forecasters also say blowing dust could be a problem through Thursday evening in Eastern Washington.
