The Portland Timbers avenged two of their most disappointing results of the season with one of their best efforts of 2010 on Sunday at PGE Park.

Bright Dike (Dee-Kay) scored twice, and Ryan Pore had a goal and assist as the Timbers beat Crystal Palace Baltimore, 3-0.

The Timbers have 10 wins, seven losses and eight ties, and are solidly fourth overall in the United States Soccer Federation Division 2 Pro League. They play their final home match of the regular season on Thursday against Puerto Rico.

Baltimore fell to 6-13-6 with the loss, including two wins in May over Portland.

Pore opened the scoring in the 15th minute, tallying his league-leading 14th goal of the season on a low shot from the left side of the penalty area that found the right side of the net.

Portland dominated play from the start, but did not hammer down control of the match until Dike struck in the closing minutes of the first half. The rookie struck a hard left-footed shot at the end of a run into the box.

Dike added his sixth goal of the season just after halftime, taking a quick pass from Pore and firing home a shot from the right side of the penalty area.
