MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — Two southern Oregon man have been charged with a kidnapping and assault that included strapping a teenager into a wheelchair and beating him.

The Mail Tribune reports that 33-year-old Nicholas Jackson of Medford and 30-year-old Kekai Kuehu of Ashland were being held at the Jackson County Jail.

Sheriff’s deputies said two 17-year-old boys were walking along a road in Eagle Point early Nov. 19 when a shotgun was fired. Both teens ran, but one was captured.

Deputies said he was taken to a residence registered as a medical marijuana growing site, bound with tape and rope, then strapped into a wheelchair for hours before he was beaten.

He later was taken to the back yard and asked to dig a hole meant to represent a grave before he was released.
