SUN CITY, South Africa (AP) — Ross Fisher and Padraig Harrington share the early lead at 5 under at the Nedbank Golf Challenge on Thursday before the first round was suspended because of bad weather.

Fisher began with successive birdies at the Gary Player Country Club and was 3 under after nine holes. The Englishman also had birdies at Nos. 10, 12, 15 and 16 to move to 7 under for a two-shot lead. He had a double bogey on 17 to tie him with Harrington as the sky darkened.

Harrington made his first birdie at No. 8, adding four more in his next six holes before the siren sounded with lightning threatening.

Top-ranked Lee Westwood is 4 under through 15 holes after five birdies and a bogey.
