SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — U.S. Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers has given birth to a second child, this time a daughter.
The Republican who represents the Spokane region gave birth just after midnight on Wednesday morning at a Washington, D.C. hospital. The girl weighed 8 pounds, 4.5 ounces. Mother and daughter are said to be healthy and doing well.
The congresswoman and her husband, Brian Rodgers, also have a 3-year-old son. McMorris Rodgers is the first member of Congress to give birth twice while in office.
