EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Adrian Peterson and Steve Hutchinson did not practice for the Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday, and coach Leslie Frazier says the two Pro Bowl players could be game-time decisions for this week against Buffalo.
Peterson sprained his right ankle and Hutchinson broke his right thumb in the victory over Washington on Sunday. Peterson is the third-leading rusher in the NFL.
The left guard Hutchinson wore a cast on his arm on Wednesday. He says the team is working to fashion a splint that would allow him to play on Sunday.
Defensive end Ray Edwards, quarterback Brett Favre and receiver Greg Lewis also did not practice. Edwards has a high ankle sprain and may not be able to play Sunday.
Lewis has a concussion and Favre has been taking Wednesdays off for a while to keep himself fresh.
