PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Layoffs announced by three unrelated Oregon employers will hit more than 200 workers.

Real estate agents, biotech workers and manufactured home fabricators are affected by Thursday’s announcements.

Goshen, Ind.-based Liberty Homes says it plans to permanently close its manufactured housing plant in Sheridan, affecting 83 workers. Layoffs are expected to begin by February.

California-based ZipRealty says it will no longer maintain an employee work force in Oregon, resulting in layoffs of 51 sales agents on Jan. 31.

And a French company that makes products for diagnosing diseases, bioMerieux, says it is permanently closing its Wilsonville facility at the end of next year. That will mean the phased layoff of about 80 employees beginning in July.

Oregon’s unemployment rate for October was 10.5 percent, virtually unchanged for the past year.
