Police: No knife, no witness and no pizza

Officers rushed to an apartment complex near St. Johns Boulevard this morning after someone called to report a fight with a knife over an $8 pizza.

Once on scene at the complex in the 2200 block of East 30th Street at about 8:45 a.m., police, however, found no knife and no victim. Also, those inside the apartment declined to offer any details to police, said Vancouver police spokeswoman Kim Kapp.

As of 10 a.m., Kapp said details were still sketchy. She could say that someone at the apartment was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant, but didn't yet know how that person was involved in the disturbance.

The investigation is continuing.
