Group recognizes port as tops in the state for 2010

The Port of Vancouver has been named 2010 Port of the Year by the Washington Public Ports Association, which represents 75 public port districts throughout the state.

The association chose the Vancouver port because of several completed projects, including a newly finished rail loop at Terminal 5 and the port’s participation in the Lower Columbia River Channel Deepening Project, according to a news release.
