Nunnally, UC Santa Barbara top Santa Clara 80-69

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — James Nunnally scored a career-high 34 points while Jaime Serna had 11 points, 10 rebounds and five blocked shots to lead UC Santa Barbara to an 80-69 victory over Santa Clara on Saturday night.

Nunnally went 8 of 11 from the floor, made four 3-pointers and went 14 of 16 from the free throw line while leading the Gauchos to only their second road victory of the season.

Orlando Johnson added 16 points and five rebounds for UC Santa Barbara (4-3), which held Santa Clara to just two field goals over an 11 1/2-minute span in the second half.

Kevin Foster scored 25 points, 19 in the first half, for the Broncos (4-4), who lost at home for the first time this season.
