JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. (AP) — A soldier accused of crimes in Afghanistan decided to skip a pretrial hearing scheduled for Monday and move on to a court-martial at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Spc. Corey A. Moore, of Redondo Beach, Calif., is one of dozen 5th Stryker brigade soldiers accused of crimes in Afghanistan. Five are charged with murder in the deaths of three Afghan civilians.
