OBERHOFEN, Switzerland (AP) — Kvitfjell in Norway will stage a second men’s downhill in March to replace the race canceled by bad weather last week in Beaver Creek, Colo.

The International Ski Federation says the rescheduled race on March 11 will begin an extended three-race weekend on the course that hosted Alpine racing at the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics.

Kvitfjell already was scheduled to stage a downhill and a super-G that weekend in March.

Strong wind at Beaver Creek made the Birds of Prey course too dangerous for racing on Friday.
