Vancouver police Wednesday evening converged in Cascade Park, where a robbery was reported at the Papa Murphy’s Pizza restaurant at 14201 S.E. Mill Plain Blvd.

The robbery was reported at 5:53 p.m. No weapon was displayed but the robber walked in and yelled to an employee, “Give me all your money!” police said in a bulletin.

He then walked behind the counter, grabbed a cash box under the register and ran out with it. The box contained some money.

He left on foot. No one was reported injured.

Several officers took positions around the area, watching for a man on foot and for cars he might have entered after he left Papa Murphy’s.

Two minutes later, an officer radioed he was out of his car to speak with a man seen walking in the area, but it was the wrong person, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian.

Officers also deployed a tracking dog, but the robber escaped, police said later.

No detailed description of the robber was immediately reported.
