Tennessee-Martin defeats Central Arkansas 73-64

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Troy King scored 23 points and Mike Liabo added 13 as Tennessee-Martin defeated Central Arkansas 73-64 on Wednesday night.

Benzor Simmons added 10 points for the Skyhawks (3-6), who shot 59.3 percent (16 for 27) in the first half en route to a 40-25 lead at intermission.

Tadre Sheppard had 19 points and Dewan Clayborn 16 for the Bears (2-6), who lost their fourth straight.

Tennessee-Martin broke the game open with a 26-9 run during a 7:58 stretch of the first half. Liabo made three 3-pointers and King had nine points during the spree, which gave the Skyhawks a 36-19 cushion.

The schools have split four games over the last four seasons, with the visiting team winning each time.
