Harvard’s big 2nd half beats Boston U 87-71

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Christian Webster scored 18 points to lead six Harvard players in double figures in an 87-71 victory over Boston University on Saturday.

Keith Wright had 17 points, Laurent Rivard 15, Andrew Van Nest 13, Oliver McNally 11 and Brandyn Curry 10 for the Crimson (7-2). Wright also had 10 rebounds.

John Holland scored 21 points and Jake O’Brien 20 for the Terriers (4-7), who have lost their last four games.

The game was tied seven times before a 12-0 burst gave Harvard a 55-43 lead with 13:20 remaining in the game. A pair of 3-pointers by Webster began and completed the run.

The Crimson shot 71.4 percent (15 for 21) in the second half, including 6 of 10 from 3-point range. They also had a 40-28 rebounding advantage for the game.

Harvard raced to a 10-2 lead in the opening 3:17, but Boston University battled back and the game was tied five times in the first half.
