McMINNVILLE, Ore. (AP) — A man whose home was searched after an arson fire at an Oregon mosque has been arrested on unrelated disorderly conduct charges.
Authorities in McMinnville said Thursday they arrested 24-year-old Cody Crawford two days earlier.
McMinnville is 40 miles north of Crawford’s home town of Corvallis. Crawford lives near a mosque sometimes attended by the teen arrested in an FBI sting on charges of trying to set off a bomb at a Portland Christmas celebration.
Officers searched Crawford’s home after the mosque’s office was torched Nov. 28. There have been no arrests in the arson.
The McMinnville News-Register quoted police as saying Crawford shined a light into a car and the security camera at a gas station and banged a phone on the counter at a video store. He was released on bail.
