VAL D’ISERE, France (AP) — Elisabeth Goergl of Austria set the fastest time of the second and final training before a World Cup downhill race in the French Alps.

Goergl finished in 1 minute, 51.65 seconds Thursday on the Oreiller Killy course, ahead of Tina Maze of Slovenia. Lindsey Vonn was seventh, 1.56 second behind the leader.

Overall World Cup leader Maria Riesch of Germany had the third best time after posting the fastest time in Wednesday’s practice.

Three women’s races are scheduled this week after the super-G originally planned in St. Moritz was canceled and rescheduled for Friday in Val d’Isere.

A downhill and a super combined also will be held over the weekend.
