FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas’ immediate future is clear. The Razorbacks, led by quarterback Ryan Mallett, will face Ohio State in the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 4.

Things aren’t quite as clear after that for Arkansas, which must consider the possibility of Mallett leaving for the NFL after the season. So, the Razorbacks are taking a close look at his possible successors during the practices leading up to the bowl game.

Mallett wasn’t available to the media Friday, but he’s danced around questions about his future after declaring for last year’s draft only to return.

Sophomore Tyler Wilson is among the candidates to replace Mallett if he does leave. Wilson played sparingly this season, though he did throw for 332 yards against Auburn after Mallett left in the first half with a concussion.
