SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) — Red Bull says Levi LaVallee’s New Year’s Eve snowmobile jump in San Diego has been canceled after the Winter X Games star was injured during practice.

LaVallee was scheduled to attempt to break the world record for the longest snowmobile jump at Embarcadero Marina Park on San Diego Bay. The record is 30112 feet, and LaVallee would have had to clear a 300-foot water gap during the jump.

It would have been the latest edition of the “Red Bull: New Year. No Limits.” daredevil series.

Red Bull says only that LaVallee was hurt practicing in Southern California on Tuesday and that he was hospitalized in stable condition.
