MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Minnesota Vikings official says the organization is concerned about the safety of the Metrodome but that he doesn’t see a scenario under which the team wouldn’t play there next season.

Vikings Vice President Lester Bagley said Friday that the team’s concerns about the stadium need to be addressed in the near future. The team has been pushing for a new stadium for over a decade. Its lease to play at the Metrodome expires after next season.

The Metrodome’s roof buckled under heavy snow last weekend and Monday night’s game between the Vikings and Chicago Bears has been moved to the University of Minnesota’s outdoor stadium.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello says the game is on track to be played at TCF Bank Stadium.
