NEWARK, N.J. (AP) — Freshman forward Fuquan Edwin continued his fine play of late, scoring 14 points to pace a balanced scoring attack, leading Seton Hall to an easy 68-45 victory over the New Jersey Institute of Technology Sunday night.
It was the third straight game that Edwin reached double figures in scoring for the Pirates (6-4). He is averaging 14.7 points in those three games, all victories.
The Pirates took the lead for good on a jumper by Ferrakohn Hall with 14:18 left in the first half and never looked back. They led by eight (32-24) at halftime, then scored the first 13 points of the second half to go ahead 45-24 with 15:59 remaining.
The Pirates also received 10 points from Jeff Robinson.
NJIT (2-6) was led by P.J. Miller, who had 10 points.
