Holy Cross gets first win, beats Marist 75-57

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP) — Andrew Keister scored 16 points and Eric Obeysekere pulled down a career-high 17 rebounds as Holy Cross defeated Marist 75-57 on Sunday, earning its first victory of the season.

The Crusaders (1-8) held Marist to 17-of-47 shooting from the floor (36.2 percent), including 4 for 15 from 3-point range (26.7 percent).

Devin Brown had 13 points on 8-of-8 shooting from the free-throw line, while Andrew Beinert scored 10 for Holy Cross.

R.J. Hall led the Red Foxes (2-10) with 14 points and was the only Marist player in double figures.

Holy Cross outrebounded the Red Foxes 45-33 en route to its first victory since a 67-64 win over Bucknell on March 3.

Marist, which started the year 0-6, has now lost four in a row after a two-game winning streak.
