YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Divers are searching the Roza irrigation canal at Selah for a man who apparently fell into the water.
The Yakima sheriff’s office says the man was intoxicated and making suicidal statements when he left a mobile home Monday morning without shoes.
Deputies followed his footprints in the snow to the canal.
The 23-year-old man from Lake Stevens went to Yakima County looking for work.
