SWEET HOME, Ore. (AP) — A man wielding a shotgun was arrested after he allegedly rushed into his girlfriend’s dog-grooming business and fired two shots during a struggle.

The Democrat-Herald reported that Barry D. Boydston was dropped off at the business by his brother, who was arrested later on Monday for drunken driving.

Barry Boydston allegedly brandished a sawed-off shotgun and pointed it at a store employee. His girlfriend, Cindy Blondin, attempted to restrain him.

During the struggle, Boydston fired two shots. One struck a tub where a dog was being bathed — the dog was unscathed — and another hit the ceiling.

No one was injured. Last week, Blondin kicked both Boydstons out of the home the three shared.

Boydston surrendered and faces assault and weapons charges.
