Three people were injured, two seriously, in a two-car accident in Vancouver, according to the Vancouver Fire Department.

Capt. Kevin Murray said the accident occurred about 6:45 p.m., involving a small station wagon and a minivan at the intersection of Northeast 28th Street and 129th Avenue.

Murray said the driver of the small station wagon, a man in his 40s, suffered chest and head injuries in the crash. A 2-year-old boy riding in the car suffered head injuries.

The man and boy were transported by ambulance to Southwest Washington Medical Center. Murray said their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

An occupant of the minivan was also transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center with back pain.
