TOLEDO, Wash. (AP) — An early morning 3-alarm fire has destroyed a historic building in Toledo.

Toledo Police spokesman Randy Pennington says the fire started at about 4 a.m.

KOMO-TV reports the building was a block long, three-story building housing six to eight businesses.

Toledo officials are urging residents to conserve water because firefighters have spent hours pouring water on the flames.

At least six businesses have been damaged, including an antique store, a bookstore, a hardware store and a bank.

Firefighters told KIRO-TV it’s too early to know what caused the fire. There have been no reported injuries.
