MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) — The half brother of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis spent Christmas in jail in Medford, Ore. The program manager for the Jackson County Community Justice sex offender unit says James Auchincloss is being investigated for a possible probation violation.
Nate Gaoiran told the Medford Mail Tribune the arrest and jailing is standard for a suspected probation violation. He declined to provide any details.
In August, the 63-year-old Auchincloss pleaded guilty to two felony counts of encouraging child sex abuse for having computer images of naked boys. A judge ordered him to serve 30 days in jail as part of three years of supervised probation.
The Ashland man was arrested Dec. 22 and held without bail at the Jackson County Jail. He is scheduled to be released Jan. 21.
